To accommodate for high levels of sediment in the water and to protect your METALTRAP cartridge from clogging prematurely, simply reverse the order of your cartridges temporarily. Place the 5 micron pleated cartridge in the first housing and the METALTRAP cartridge in the second housing. Rinse off the 5 micron pleated cartridge regularly to prevent the larger pieces of sediment from clogging the cartridge prematurely.
